So I guess you could say we had a pretty eventful weekend! It started off by Journee refusing to sleep Friday and Saturday days and nights. Not sure exactly what was going on in her little head but she did NOT want to even lay down. Last night was the first night in a while Ryan and I got a good nights sleep. The joys of parenthood... Saturday night me and Ryan were able to escape and go see the movie The Strangers. Great Movie, so scary, highly recommend it!!!! Then Sunday we decided to get out of the house for a little bit and go check out the Lava River Cave a couple minutes out of town. It was amazing! The cave is approximately 50' in height and is just over one mile. It maintains a constant temperatire of 42 degrees so it was a little chilly but felt good. You rent a lantern for a couple bucks and trek down into the pitch black, literally. I wanted to take some pics but when we got there, our camera wouldnt work, go figure. So i downloaded some pics off the internet to share. Journee loved it.....at first. We were about halfway to the end when we decided to let Journee walk for a little bit. She was doing great until she saw dad holding the lantern and wanted to hold it herself. I was holding her hand when I told her no she couldnt touch it and all hell broke loose. She threw herself on the floor in a rage and must have twisted her arm, or pulled it because I was still holding on to her hand. She started crying and saying "it hurts". We wernt really sure at that point what it was but I had a feeling it had to do with her arm. After that, she refused to go back in her hiking backpack so Dad had to carry her the whole way back through some tough terrain and uphill. It was rough for me, let alone Ryan! She kept saying Ow and wouldnt move her arm at all. We thought maybe she pulled a muscle so we layed her down for a nap and she slept for 3 hours. When she woke up and still wouldnt move it, we thought it was a good time to go to the hospital.
She did sooooo good! The doc came in and looked at her arm and felt it. He explained about Nurse's Elbow and how it is very easy to dislocate little kids arms and elbows and it is a very common thing. He didnt think anything was wrong with Journee because she was still in good spirits and could kind of move it at this point. He said he would observe her through the window and for us to try and get her to move her arm. After she refused to do anything with her arm, he came in and popped it back into place. She only cried for 10 seconds maybe and was perfectly fine after. He said she is a tough girl because she had him completely fooled! The nurse came in to hand her a popsicle and see if she would grab it with her hurt arm and of course, she did! We even got sent home with a teddy bear. The nurse and doctor said they needed to keep her on Cuteness alert for 24 hours. lol. So that was our eventful Sunday and may I ad in our 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Good Quality time spent at the Hospital.

Other than all that jazz, plane tickets have been purchased for our trip in July so now we are on countdown mode. This weekend we are going to check out the High Desert Museum, see some otters and other animals and there will def. be some pictures to look forward too. Love you all!
