All grown up

First birthday........

Almost second birthday

Can you believe she is going to be 2 in 5 days???!!!

I def. cant! Everybody always told me to treasure the times of her being a baby because it will be gone before you know it. When I first had Journee I thought everybody was full of it. I never thought the endless nights and bottle feedings would ever be over. I thought I would rock her until she fell asleep forever! Now, I cant even get her to lay on my chest to try and rock her. She would rather sit on my lap and stare at me while singing twinkle twinkle little star, reading books and having laugh off contests. She isnt my little baby girl anymore. But, she has turned into an amazing little toddler. I couldnt ask for a better, funner, happier kid! I have to say, I am damn proud of me and Ryan for the parenting we have done. We have done it all by ourselves with hardly any sitters or nights alone and it has all been worth it. THANKFULLY though, Grandma will be here soon so we can start to have the nights away ;0)

Anyways, she has already started trying to help me pick out her outfits and dress herself. I know, she is 2 going on 8. Saturday morning she had to put on her shoes to help daddy cook and this is the outfit she came out it:

Yes, snow boots!

In other news besides the girl, everyone has been asking about the planned parenthood job. I still dont really know if I got it or not. I thought for sure the position had been filled because I hadnt heard back from the guy who interviewed me and then on Thursday I got an email from him saying he is still trying to get in touch with my references and he hopes I was still interested in the job. Soooo that was last Thursday, I emailed him back and have yet to hear from him. I am still crossing my fingers and having hope.

The next couple of days are going to be spent moving into our 3 bedroom, getting ready for my sisters to be here and celebrating Journee's birthday. Stay tuned for lots of pics....x0x0x

Lack of blogs

Hey Guys,
Sorry for the delay in the blogs. There hasnt been a whole lot going on and not very many new pics to post. We are getting ready to celebrate Journees 2nd birthday in a couple of weeks!!! Can you believe she is already 2?? Cyd and Lisa are going to be here to celebrate and we are going to have a little BBQ down at a park. Hopefully, it wont be too chilly. Other than that, we are getting ready to move into a 3 bedroom to prepare for my moms arrival. Luckily for us, one of the 3 bedrooms in our 4-plex opened up so we are going to move into there for a little bit. This will save us on new house deposits and pet deposits. Perfect for this time of the year. Looks like I am going to be going to Arizona October 23rd (Thursday) and we will leave Lake Havasu Saturday morning and arrive in Bend Sunday evening. It will be a nice little road trip. It is however, going to be my first time away from Journee EVER!! Hopefully, daddy will be A.O.K. with the little munchkin. I have faith in him. Welll I am prob. just rambling on now trying to make something for you to read. I will take some pics this weekend and have some new stuff on Monday. Love you all!!

One Foot in the Door.

So I had my second interview today with Planned Parenthood. I was a little nervous about it because when we sat down to talk, he pulled mine and 15 other resumes out of a folder. Despite the competition I still put on my best game face. When I got back to work I called the answering machine to check the messages and apparantly right when I left he called and left a message saying they were both very happy with the interview and very impressed with me and they would like to go ahead and call my references. woohooo!!! I gave him 2 supervisor references and one coworker. I know 2 of them will have nothing but good to say but I am a little weary about one of my supervisors from Wyoming when I was pregnant. I was an excellent employee but due to constant morning sickness, I did call in quite a bit. Hopefully, if she does bring that up, she will remind them I was PREGNANT! Anways, keep praying for me. I am super super hopeful at this point.

Oh by the way, the benefit package is amazing. I get Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K all covered 100 percent by the company. ANDDDDD starting out I get 18 paid vacation days and 8 paid holidays. They also have an incentive if you dont call in sick last min. you get an extra week of vacation. How awesome is that? 23 paid days off TO START!!

P.S. I will post some pics and other things going on soon!

Crossing my fingers..

So I just got off my phone interview with Planned Parenthood. It went really well. So well in fact they asked me to come into the office on Tuesday to do a tour and have a sit down interview with the lady who would train me. The job sounds absolutely amazing I cant contain how excited and hopeful I am. Not only is it working in the office assisting patients, I am also going to be trained to assist the Doctor, draw blood, do lab and test work, and other things. The training period is 6-8 months of extensive training. They are looking to hire someone right away so if I get it, its going to happen soon. Please pray I get this job. It is exactly what I have been looking for and I almost have it in my hands.

Dont want to speak to soon.....

But I scored a phone interview with Planned Parenthood tomorrow. I am super duper excited because, well, if you talk to me reguarly then you know I dislike my job now very much! I came across an ad on Craigslist that they were searching for a patient services staff member. I thought that would be such a cool job. When I first found out I was pregnant, I was one of those girls: young, and scared wondering into the planned parenthood office to look for help. Everybody there is so nice and how awesome of a feeling to know that you could help out other people in those ways. Now, I am always looking for jobs on Craigslist and I am ALWAYS applying to lots of them, but this is the only the second one that has ever replied to me. And it wasnt an already written email that they send to everyone who applies. It was directly from the Health Center Manager himself. Anyways, I am going to put on the Stephanie Schoettler charm and see what happens.....wish me luck!

Fall is in the air...

I know its been a little bit since I have blogged last, I have been trying to get a good collection of pics to post. Labor Day weekend was a little on the chilly side but we had a great weekend! We decided to have Journee's second birthday party at one of the parks here. It is a really nice one and they have horseshoe pits, and 4 different awesome playgrounds for different aged kids.We went there this weekend and Journee of course, wants to play on all the "big" kid equipment. There was a slide that even to me looked a little scary. Journee walked right up to it and slid down with no hesitation. Even the older kids that were around 6 and 7 wernt going down it. Here are some pics to show you our playground adventure:

On Sunday, Ryan and our neighbors decided to dig out a bonfire pit and have a BBQ in our backyard. One of my friends brought over stuff to make smores and Journee got to experience the messy fun experience of making her first smore! She loved them! It was surprisingly really cold and windy that night so the whole sitting around the fire pit outside only lasted a couple of hours before moving the party inside.

There isnt a whole lot of other things going on over here. Journee is doing really good with the potty training business. She went all day yesterday wearing her big girl undies without an accident! She is pushing us with it more than we are pushing her! She is talking like crazy and understands everything we say. You can have conversations with her now. She can count to 10 on her fingers and counting outloud, she sings like crazy and dances, she lovesssssss reading, and is almost tall enough to reach her radio flyer tricycle. I cant believe she is going to be 2 next month!! We are anxiously awaiting for Aunt Lisa andddd Aunt Cyd to come visit for her B-day. It is going to be so much fun! We cant wait to show Lisa Oregon and Cyd Oregon in the fall time, when there is no snow...hopefully! Here are some random pics to enjoy...

Until Next Time....x0x0x0x
