Happy Monday...

So this weekend I was able to grab ahold of my work camera and take some pics to post with my blog. Yay! Ryan didnt have to work on Friday because his condo he is working on was part of the Tour of Homes so Journee and him had a "Daddy, Daughter Day" They had so much fun, I was def. jelous! Ry took her down to the river and had a day filled with building sand castles and playing in the water:

We apparantly have moved on from using the little potty to only wanting to use to big potty with the little donut hooked in. That is the only way Journee wants to use the toilet....at least I know she isnt going to be afraid of it when the time comes. She has also learned what wiping with toilet paper is all about:

Saturday, We started off with our new ritual of going to this new little market place by our house that has awesome coffee! Journee always gets a bananna when we go while we have our coffee. At the park, there was a Childrens Festival going on for little people. It was pretty fun..They had booths set up with games and activites for the kids to do, and of course, The jumpy things!

We ended our weekend with Journee and Mommy making bananna pancakes Sunday morning. She is such a big help. Her part was taking a bite out of the bananna and throwing the rest in the batter. Yum!!

We leave in 3 days for our trip to Arizona!!! We are on the last stretch and are getting anxious! We cant wait to see everyone! I will try to update still why we are there but I am not sure if I will have the time to! So much to do, So many people to see, So little time!

Love you all X0x0x

Def. not the math genius in the family...

So the test is done and over with and I already got my score. I aced the reading and writing part, which has always been my strong subjects. As for the math, I scored below what I needed to get into the program. I tried my best....that just goes to show how important it is to not take off 4 years after high school. I am not exactly sure where I go from here. I meet with an advisor when I get back from vacation and we will talk about what I want to do. I might be able to retake the test and try and score higher. Exactly one week until vacation!!!

Dooms Day!

So today is the day I take my placement test and to be honest, I am not that confident with the math section. I have been trying to study for about a week now but there is just to much info to try and stuff in the back of my brain. I am going to go in there and give it my best and hope I can get into the dental program. If I dont, I guess I will take the year to do general studies so I can be prepared to apply again next year. Wish me luck.....

Copy Cat

So just recently within the last week and a half, Journee has been copying everything we say. And most of the time, she can say exactly what it was we said. I will be talking on the phone to someone and I can hear this little voice sitting right next to me repeating what I say on the phone. I guess we have reached that critical point where we have to watch what we say....I didnt expect it to come this soon!

This weekend we decided to try and float the river with Journee. During the summer time, that is the big thing to do. The water is pretty cold still but there are people everywhere going down next to you. I was a little hesitant at first to take Journee becuase after all, we are in the middle of the river, on an air mattress and if for some reason she flipped out, it wouldnt be a good situation. Ryan reassured me she will be OK and off we went. She absolutely loved it! She had her little life jacket and sat on the end between Ryan and I with her little feet hanging in the water. Every now and then she would flip on her stomach and help us paddle. So Grandpa.....she will be soooo ready for the lake time, she is going to be your little co-captain! I wish I could have taken some pics, but unfortunately, my camera is still out of commission. Dont worry, Cyd already gave me the OK to steal her old camera when we get in AZ. Which by the way is next Thursday!!! Woooohooo we are getting so anxious!

I go on Wed. to take my placement test for school. Everybody please pray for me that I retained at least enough info from high school to get a 2.0 on the test. Ryan has decided that when we get back from our vacation, he wants to get a second part time night job and put all of that money in a savings account to put down on a house. We figure if he can do that for almost a year, we will have enough money to put down on our first house!! We are ready for it and very hopeful. But of course, things seem to always happen differently than we plan in our lives so hopefully we can stick to it and reach our goal. I guess that is about it for now. Sorry I have no pics...I know its kinda boring to blog with no pics. x0x0

My Cutie Pie

Here are some pics of Journee being cute playing, Journee being cute blowing bubbles, and Journee being cute in the bath. Did I mention she was cute? Oh, and I dont know if you know this but if you click on the pics it will enlarge the pictures. My camera is still in the dumps but I had to take the office camera for a project and I thought it was a good opportunity to take some quick snapshots. :0) x0x0

Long Awaited Entry....

Well here I am FINALLY!! This might be the last one I can post pics on because my camera decided to take a crap! It has done this before and came back to life....lets hope that is the case again. If not, I will have to steal Cyds old camera when we go to AZ. I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July. We had alot of fun. Apparantly Fourth of July in Bend is one of the best holidays celebrated here. It starts with a pet parade downtown and then goes to Drake Park where there is a HUGE festival. So far, the biggest one we have been to. There is music and food and old fashioned potatoe sack races. Later in the day they put on a bike parade where a ton of people decorate their bikes (and themselves) and ride around town. As we came to find out, this event was more for the younger crowd that likes beer...alot of beer! It was really interesting to watch though. Luckily, we live in the best part of town. It is walking distance to everything going on. So we get alot of people traffic by our house. Let me just say, there sure are alot of interesting people that live here! Take a look for yourselves:

Yes, that is some random guy on stilts and some guy stuck in the 80s. The guy in the bottom picture is our neighbor John. He did the bike parade.

Anyways....Thank God Journee was feeling better by Friday. It was a rough week. I ended up staying home with her all week because her normal daycare lady was on vacation and she was suppose to go to someone new for the week. I couldnt bring myself to drop her off at someones house she didnt know when she didnt feel well. Pretty much the whole week we were trapped in the house getting better. I thought Thurs. she could help me wash my car but she was much more interested in playing in the water filled pothole. I thought it was pretty disgusting but it didnt bother her at all.

Here are some more pics from the 4th to enjoy:

Those last two are her giving Sam (our dog) hugs and kisses. She loves him!

So In other news, I have some exciting news to tell you all about. I am going to be starting school full time this September. I have decided to do the dental assisting program. It will take one full year to finish and then I will be certified to look in people mouths. I am very excited about it. I am going to quit this job the first of September and start my new life as a student. I will prob. look for a night job after the first couple of months when I get used to the whole school thing. Until then, I will be living like a college student: Top Ramen and water. just kidding. We will be just fine. The last thing I have to do before I can register for the program is take my placement test. I have to score a 2.0 to be accepted to the dental assisting program. I am very VERY nervous due to the fact I printed off a sample test and all was good until I got to the math part. Eek....needless to say, I scheduled my test for the 16th so I can study Algebra. The great part about the dental program is I only take classes pertaining to dental assisting. I dont need to take math (even though I need it) or english or any of those core classes. And dont worry, if I dont get accepted into the program for one reason or the other, I am still going to take my general classes and re-apply next year. Wih me luck!!

Hmmm what else is going on.......We will be in Havasu in 2 weeks and 2 days. The countdown is on!!! I cant wait to see everyone, even though it is a shorter trip than we usually take. I think that is about it for now. I will update soon and HOPEFULLY, my camera will snap out of it. X0X0
